thankful*tuesday

Happy Tuesday evening, y'all!


Today I am thankful for:
safe travels. 


My parents, after what seems like 20 years since their last trip [truly, I'm not exaggerating], landed safely in Italy at 2:30am our time this morning. I know that my parents were worried, but I think I was even more so. I blame my worrywart gene on my mom.


I know it's secretly a blessing in disguise sometimes not the best trait to have, but I think that overall it makes me a more connected person. I feel that I'm more aware of a situation, especially when it involves people near and dear to my heart. 


I'm happy that they're safe, and I can bet you anything they're going to have the time of their life!


....I'm only mildly jealous of all the amazing food/wine/sights/life in general that they're going to experience over the next two weeks....::sigh::


*side note: I'm also thankful for a KICKASS WIN my Hokies had on Saturday! Go Tech, Go!*
